Tell me what you believe this cartoon is trying to say. Do you agree or disagree with this idea? Try and look at this from two different perspectives. What is your perspective? What would be an adult/teacher's perspective?

I think this cartoon is saying that students in the United States do not spend nearly as much time studying as other students in other countries.I think this cartoon may be true for some students, but a lot of students work very hard to get into college or are just satisfied with themselves when they make good grades. Students in the United States do have more down time than other students from various countries, but that does not mean all students in the Unite States do nothing all day. A major stereotype of Chinese students is that studying is their life, which may or may not be true, but another stereotype is that students of the United States are lazy. A teacher here at Blue Valley High School might actually agree with this considering we all like to listen to music during school and talk to our friends constantly, but they also could be forgetting the fact that we are one of the best districts in the state of Kansas.

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work? I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

I think that this image means put all of your effort into one thing, rather than doing not so great work on a group of things. This mostly applies to my school life. I tend to get over whelmed with my school work because I put it off until the last minute, when in reality I should do my best work in a reasonable amount of time. Outside of school I am a very organized person and I really don't have very much to do during the school year, school is supposed to be my only job. I think this class would be more beneficial if we had a little less work load to do in class, some days I feel rushed to wrap something up before the bell rings. I think I would comprehend what exactly it is that we are supposed to be learning that day if we did not have such large work loads to do. I also noticed that we only have 3 assignments graded in the grade book, so what is the point in doing all this other work if it is not what is actually being graded?

Tell me all about your weekend! I sure hope you have photos to share.

Friday after school I drove to Manhattan to visit my boyfriend. We made pizza and watched Pitch Perfect. Then I drove home on Saturday and went to the gym. Recently I have been going to the gym more often to get ready for spring break and prom. My friend Kendra had a little get together Saturday night which was very fun. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures to share. Sunday was very relaxed, I went to Jimmy John's to visit my friend Kaelen at work. Then I watched That 70's Show on Netflix for a few hours and worked on some school work. To wrap up my night I went to the gym and got a good work out in.

You haven't had a chance to tell me about your Sweetheart weekend yet - tell me about it now! Include photos if you have them. Even if you just laid around on the couch and watched Netflix, tell me all about it.

Unfortunately I did not go to the dance, but I did go to the after party. The after party was a pretty good time and it was at my good friend Jennifer's house. This after party was especially memorable because it was Mexico themed! Friday night I drove up to Manhattan to see some friends and I went out to eat at Fuzzy's and just chilled with some Netflix.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"? EXPLAIN.

Email is mail sent through the web. Personally, I do not email very often. Sometimes I email my teachers to make plans to make up work or for extra help. I check my email when I order clothes to see if they are being shipped. I think adults and college students use email more often than teenagers. In the business world, emails are used for making appointments and sharing information. I do not know very much about email etiquette and how an email should be formatted, I usually just type whatever I have to say and then send it.
